Learn How to Protect Your Family – Get more Disaster Survival Tips Now What in the heck is going out there? What can we do? We can learn how to Prepare and be ready for any disaster. Survival Disaster Tip #1 You just need a basic back pack that will be somewhat comfortable and can hold some basic gear. You will want to have the basics like a tarp, water bottle, fire starter, medical supplies, knife, wire, and pistol. You will also want to carry extra ammo and a compass. You can download a full list of gear here. Make sure it is not too heavy and practice carrying it on a local hike in the park.
You need to be able to see where the hell you are in the dark and also keep a fire going. Did you know you can use a kid’s Crayon as a candle? Yep. Now you know why you have kids. Just break off the tip of the crayon and light the paper on fire, for a quick makeshift candle. Works every time.
Did you know you can use your watch as compass? Now this is really cool. Just hold your watch flat. Then line up the hour hand with the sun. The point halfway between the hour hand and 12 will be North. Now if you’re in the southern hemisphere, line up the 12 with the sun. And do the same thing. Pretty clever, uh? You’re gonna love the next one.
Tin Foil Next… sounds incredible, but aluminum foil can replace your whole kitchen. It pays to keep a roll or two around in an emergency. Use foil to create a moisture barrier to build your fire … or to keep your matches dry … or wrap your food in it to cook directly in fire. You can also fold it to make dishes.

Survival Disaster Tip #6 Just cover the blister with gauze, then cover it with duct tape. Don’t let the duct tape touch the blister, just the gauze. You can also wrap duck tape around a sprained ankle to give it some support. Or if you have a cut and no adhesive bandages, use duct tape over a clean gauze or use that tampon I talked about earlier to secure it in place.
If you are part of the 1% who have the knowledge? You’ll never have to worry about your well-being. Believe me, I’ve seen a lot of people die in disasters, simply because they weren’t prepared |
